My name’s Chris, I’m in my mid-30s, I’m married to my highschool sweetheart, and I live in Vancouver, B.C. The nickname, harrysaxon, comes from Dr. Who. I’m a member of Sony’s Gamer Advisory Panel (GAP), an invite-only community on Sony’s site, which constitutes the largest group of gamers I talk to on a regular basis.

I’ve been a videogame player since my parents got me an Atari MCS (yeah, before it was called the 2600) in the late 70s. Since then, despite a few bumps in the road during my late teens, I’ve been an avid and dedicated video game player.

The total list of consoles I’ve owned (and still own, mostly) are the Atari MCS/2600, Colecovision, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Sega Saturn, NES, SNES, N64, Wii, Gameboy, GBA, DS, Playstation 2, 3, PSP, and Xbox 360.

I started on computers with Apples, then I was a heavy PC gamer from the late 80s until the late 90s, when the rising quality of consoles, rising cost of keeping up with PC specs, and the rising blood pressure Windows created in me caused me to jump back to the Apple world, though I’ve been a casual World of Warcraft player since beta and I’m now getting a bit back into PC gaming with my Intel-based iMac 23″, as I can run Windows to game, not to mention many more publishers are supporting OS X.

I’m especially into music games, Rock Band more than Guitar Hero, but I love them both. Favourite game franchises include the Zelda series (especially OoT), Mario Kart (SNES still my favourite), Metal Gear (MGS4 may be the greatest game ever made), Half-Life (including the brilliant Portal), Ratchet & Clank, GTA, God of War.

I love TV and will probably talk about it; some of my current favourites include Doctor Who, Lost, Scrubs, The Office, 30 Rock, Torchwood, South Park, Chuck, House, Mythbusters, Big Love, Dollhouse, and Bullshit! Some all-time favourites include Arrested Development, Deadwood, The Sopranos, Buffy, Firefly, Seinfeld, and Newsradio.
